Another series from the early years of Nintendo is back and in full 3D, with GAUNTLET LEGENDS for the Nintendo 64. The game sports upgrades in almost every department, especially the video and audio categories. Each level takes the player to a new and fantastic location that helps supply the backdrop to the mission, which retains the same feel of the original version. The player must assume the role of a wizard, warrior, valkyrie, or archer and fight through countless enemies to reach the exit. Along the way, the player is able to utilize magic, as well as collect money to buy power-ups. The game uses the RAM Pak to support better visuals, amounting to a cleaner-looking game that is able to render believable characters and backgrounds. GAUNTLET LEGENDS delivers solid fun for any gamer, especially those who have followed the series.
