Summary
Basic summary of gameplay or storyline.
If you just can't reconcile between arcade-style, cartoon NBA play and realistic basketball simulation don't! Bringing the best of both to the N64, NBA COURTSIDE 2 FEATURING KOBE BRYANT features an in-your-face Arcade mode, as well as a strategy-heavy Simulation mode. The arcade action is replete with super dunks from 20 feet out, invincible "on fire" streaks, and baskets that count for as many as 15 points. The simulation-style play showcases excellent controls, high artificial intelligence, and easy-to-use play-calling features. With over 300 real players at your disposal, the game rates the athletes based on shooting percentage and range, foul tendency, dribbling, passing, speed, jumping, rebounding, strength, dunking, stealing, blocking, and stamina. If these guys aren't exciting enough for you, you can create your own players by the same criteria that the pros are based on. The game includes new, user-controlled actions, such as spin moves, fakes, crossovers, calling for picks, and many more. You can even post-up, isolate, and run the fabled triangle offense. The players' moves are all based on the motion-captured sessions of Kobe Bryant, so you know this game is high-flying.
