Summary
Basic summary of gameplay or storyline.

Real-life NASCAR action is in your hands, as the popular sport makes its way to the N64. Auto racing announcers Bob Jenkins and Benny Parsons call all the action, lending one of many authentic touches to this ultra-realistic game from EA Sports. Choose from 37 different NASCAR drivers including Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt, and Richard Petty as you take to the 17 licensed tracks. Each driver's car is replicated in perfect detail (right down to the decals), and each is configured exactly as it was for the 1998 season. The 17 tracks including Sears Point, Atlanta Motor Speedway, and Michigan Speedway are all accurate replicas as well. Featuring smooth, solid controls, NASCAR '99 also boasts some of the most incredible collision and damage effects the gaming world has ever seen. You can make lots of modifications to your vehicle, and "NASCAR Options" allows you to make the action more or less realistic, depending on your preferences. Whether or not you follow NASCAR, you're sure to love the detailed racing excitement of NASCAR '99.
