Originally thought to be the first snowboarding game to grace Nintendo 64, Twisted Edge Snowboarding in the end appeared after Nintendo's own 1080 Snowboarding. The game is a fully 3D snowboarder with dangerous courses, far-out characters, and more neck-breaking stunts than a Jackie Chan movie. The team at Boss Game Studios (responsible for Top Gear Rally), has taken a long look at other snowboarding games and worked hard on making Twisted Edge stand out. The game offers at least six tracks, each with multiple paths and varying terrain, including Easy Slider, Twisty Canyon, Polar Paradise, Splash Down, Funky Town.
